Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

non custodial custody and support

was divorced from my ex wife 11 years ago we have one son which she was the custodial parent and I paid her child support until he was 4. When he was 4 he came to live with me since his mother could not care for him properly. I tried to do the motion to modify myself but fear it was not done properly. His mother did not pay any child support for the first 6 years that he lived with me then she gave $50-100 every now and then. Now she is remarried and not working and says she cant pay child support of any kind. What are my chances of getting support from her if I were to go to court or would I still be liable for back child support? What are my options???

Re: non custodial custody and support

Get a lawyer to get the child support that you are entitled to -- you have already missed out on many years of support from her.
