nonpayment of bills ordered by divorce decree

what can i do if my ex was ordered in the divorce decree to pay bills but intentionally fails to pay them.now some of them are in collections or charge offs and i must pay them to clear my credit.is he in contempt?if he is what should i do

It certainly sounds like he is in contempt. You will need to file a petition in the court where the divorce was granted, asking a judge to hold him in contempt. You should consult with a local attorney since attorneys fees are usually awarded.
