Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Notice of Appearance

Would like to contest a petition for divorce filed by my spouse. I would like to file a notice of appearance. I understand I can do that on my own without using a lawyer. Is there a form I can use or language I can use. Or can I just simply write I wish to contest. Do I have to include in that notice reason why I'm contesting?

Re: Notice of Appearance

The document you want to file is called an ANSWER.

The basic form is available at any law library.

Some courts even have blank forms for people to use.

I urge you to retain an attorney to assist you through the divorce process.

Good luck!
