Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Oil Royalty Income Not Community Property?

Married 10+ yrs to unemployed alcoholic-sole income derived from inherited oil royalties invested in limited family partnership. No pre-nup. If I divorce him now, will I be entitled to financial settlement based on royalties never distributed or financial instruments purchased with royalty income over the years or be forced to go penniless?

This is way too complicated for this forum. You need to make an appointment and go talk with a good family law attorney. Good luck!
