If ordered to pay child support and a persons income has dropped, can and how would a person go about having thier support modified?

You would go back to the Court that ordered child support and ask for the support to be modified.

As an Austin Uncontested Divorce Lawyer I do not advise you to try this on your own.

Unfortunately, you must go to Court and ask a judge to modify the current child support order down.

Lowering your child support is not done automatically.

I would encourage you to hire an attorney to help you so that it will be done quickly and done the right way so that it will occur quickly.
