Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Overnight Members of Opposite Sex

I am researching for a friend in a custody battle, the judge ordered a ''3 Morals Rule'' no drinking, no drugs, and no members of the opposite sex overnight, is this actually a law and what is the definition. and how strict is this. Is this only at her home or anywhere?

Tell your friend to ask his / her lawyer.

I agree with Rush Wells. Your friend needs to talk to her attorney.

You can always read the Texas Family Code since it is on-line and free, if you are interested in learning more about Texas law.

There are obviously minor children involved in this lawsuit. Judges have a lot of discretion when it comes to protecting minor children. Your friend will need to read the orders signed by the Judge to understand fully what she is ordered not to do and how it applies in her particular case. She needs to talk to her attorney if she does not understand the Judge's orders. If she does not follow them, she can be held in contempt of court.

I am unfamiliar with the details of your friend's case. However, normally, the restrictions apply 24/7.
