Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I owe back child support from when I had no job. I had made arrangements with my ex to continue to pay monthly child support after my daughter graduates high school until it is paid off. She has offered to take what is my share of her retirement as payment for the back child support. she called her lawyer to get papers drawn up and the lawyer wanted to file against me for back child support and then when we are in front of the judge for my ex to say that she wants to trade my share of her retirement for the owed child support. My ex and I both think that there should be a way to draw up a document that legally takes care of it with out the added expense to both her and me for missing work and traveling back home. Is there a way to do this?

Yes. You can do all that her attorney suggested except that instead of finalizing this in front of the judge, you can just enter an agreed order with those same terms.
