Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Papers reguarding an answer to a paternity suet.

I need to know how to respond to papers I recieved from the father of my child reguarding a paternity test. It says I have to respond an answer in 20 days. I was told I must do it with the correct papers and research it at the law library. He is already paying child support and I need to know if I have to return an answer and to whom since he or I don't have a lawyer.

You need to file a document called an "answer" with the court, keep a copy for yourself and send a copy to the opposing party or his attorney.

If there is a hearing date, you MUST appear.

Good luck!
