Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Can a parent with 51% custody move a child out of state if it says he cannot move out in the divorce papers? Is it easy or hard or at least expensive to have that changed? I do no want it changed. Thanks. Ashley.

What does 51% custody mean. If he is a conservator, the court orders probably provide that he cannot move from the area unless the other parent moves.
Court orders can be changed, but it is typically difficult to remove a residence restriction. If he violates the order, he could be held in contempt of court.
