Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Parent moving

If I as the custodial parent do not even make enough to pay my bills but find a job 120 miles away that pays triple what I make and would enable my child to attend a private Christian school, and there are no restrictions on moving in my papers, we left them out deliberately due to my career field possibly requiring me to move, could I move without written permission from the courts or not? If he opposed the move what would then happen? If I move would it fall completely on me to have her at his home by 6pm on Fridays and to pick her back up on Sundays? Because I would not even get off work until 6pm on Fridays.

Re: Parent moving

It all depends on what your particular orders says. While there are standards, not every order follows them. Also, there is always the possibility of a modification of any order. You need to sit down with a good family law attorney and review your situation and order.
