It is possible. Bankruptcy does not discharge child support obligations. And in the counties where I practice, if you could afford to pay a bankruptcy attorney, even if you had to borrow the legal fees, you will likely be found in contempt. If your are found to be in contempt, jail is a possible punishment. You better have a good child support lawyer with you when you go to court. Good luck!!
