parent responsible for child driving half way

We live in silsbee texas my husbands ex with his daughter lives in baytown texas they are both required to meet each other half way on his weekends pick up or drop off his daughter 3/28/2008 we are being transferrred with his company to fairfiled texas. which is about 180 miles from baytown his ex is saying that he is required to pick up and drop off his daughter at her house in Baytown now not to meet him half way because of gas prices and she has 4 month child now by another man. Is he required to drive the full way or half way she saying every since we are moving to another county he hisrequired to do this.
