Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Parental Rights with mental background

Have a ex who wants to take my rights away. She seems to think that seeing that I spent a week in a mental hospital for major depression that she can get my rights taken away from me. She also thinks that seeing that I can't and have only came to see him once in the past year that she can take them a way. Well, I guess the question I am asking is she going to be able to take my rights away for them reasons.

Re: Parental Rights with mental background

Failure to exercise visitation might be a basis for terminating parental rights. Assuming your MH condition is being treated or under control, I doubt that the condition alone would be sufficient to terminate your parental rights. the Court owuld have to find that the termination would be in the best interest of the child.
