Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

parental rights

My ex was rewarded visitation while living in a half way house but he has never once tried to visit with her. I haven't seen or heard from him for a year and a half. We have moved and I have no idea where he is to let him know. He knows where my husband now works but hasn't tried contacting him. What can I do to get his parental rights taken away?

Re: parental rights

You must file a Petition for Termination of Parental Rights, which is governed by Chapter 161 of the Family Code. Although the procedure is technical, it is fairly common, so any attorney who does family law ought to be able to help you. If you will tell me where in Texas you are, I would be glad to refer you to an attorney near you.
