Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Parents put their house in my name to hide it from the IRS

Well, when I was 18, my father was being penalized by the IRS so he put the house in me and my sisters name. Now that I'm 26, trying to buy my own house, and I am not sure if what they did was even legal. I am wondering if I could ever suffer any legal problems in the future do to their borrowing of my identity? Is it possible that they've been forging my signature for tax purposes each year?

Go to your parents, and explain that this is a problem for you (assuming there is an outstanding mortgage on the property). Ask them to straighten it out, so that you can get your own mortgage. This could be construed by some people as a federal offense, and you need to get it straightened out.
