parents rights after having no contact for 7 years

What do i do about my son's biological father wanting to become a part of his life now. He hasnt ever met him, which was his choice, and in fact agreed to sign over his parental rights about 5 years ago.

You state that he agreed to terminate his parental rights, was that ever ordered by the court? If not, you may have to allow his access to his son. In situations like this, it is often in the child's best interest that the absent parent be re-introduced in gradual and limited visitations. If the parent has a history that concerns you, the initial visitations may need to be supervised. If you cannot negotiate an agreeable visitation schedule to submit to the court to modify the existing order, you may need to set the matter for a hearing. In any event, it needs to be reduced to a court order.
