Is it best for both parties involved in a divorce with no custody issues to have independant attorneys for a collaborative divorce?

If a collaborative divorce has already been filed, I would advise you (not knowing anything else about it) that you continue with the collaborative divorce process.

If no divorce has been filed .... go ahead and hire your own lawyer. It will probably end up costing LESS than one of those collaborative divorces.
