Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If both parties are seeking an attorney and one went around consulting with several to cause a conflict of interest, how long until the conflict of interest expires if they don't hire them?

That's a too-common practice. The conflict never expires. The other party can WAIVE the conflict in writing, but that's the only way to get around it.
