paterity and child support issues of unwed mother

In 1998 my daughter was born out of wedlock,he constantly comes in and out of my daughters life at his convience.When I speak of filing with attorney general he will give me a little money to appease me then makes statements like the AG won't be able to withhold from his income because he's a contract laborer Iwant to file w/AG afraid he will be off probation before they file my case and i can't find him.What do I do?

It sounds like you have never established paternity.

You need to either hire a private attorney or go to the Texas A G's office and get paternity established. Then there will be child support and visitation ordered.

If he disappears, the money owed will continue to grow. If he files income taxes, you will get all his refunds. The Texas A G has wonderful access to locating people trying to "disappear".

If he gets paid in cash, it is still his burden to pay his child support.

The Texas A G will throw him in jail if he does not pay his child support.
