Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Paternity & Divorce of an American Citizen from a Foreign Spouse
I was stationed in Germany in the Army. I married a German Citizen, and 4 months later she got pregnant. During the term of the pregnancy, I found out that she had an affair, but was lead to believe the child was mine. After the Child was born we did a home DNA test, that was not valid in Germany courts. Now, they will not take the child out of my name unless I return to Germany and Do a Blood Test. Is there any other way for me to get around this. I did not register the child as an american citizen at birth, but the German Government will still require me to pay Child support and Alimony to my spouse. I want to divorce, but I don't know what to do or how to go about it because of international rights for spouses. Should I go back to Germany and do the Blood test or is there a way to have the blood drawn here and the results sent to Germany?

San Antonio if filled with fine lawyers. Will the Jag discuss the matter with you? They may be experienced with this particular situation. If the Jag can't help, you will need to talk to a lawyer in San Antonio and will very likely to need one in Germany. I would try the Jag first.
