Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Paternity Testing/Father Rights

My bf's ex gf is claiming that she is pregnant with his child and is due Feb '09. I found info on myspace yesterday that she is also telling another man he is the father of the unborn baby. What rights does my bf have at this time? I feel once the baby is born, she is going to drag the game out as long as she can and will avoid having the paternity testing done. Can he legally request to have the test done at the time of birth? If so, what does he need to do to set this in motion?

Re: Paternity Testing/Father Rights

Based on what you have written, your boyfriend should seek assistance from a family law firm. This should allow your boyfriend the ability to protect his interests and rights. If my local family law firm can assist your boyfriend with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Tina ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.

He should get a lawyer now, so that at the time of birth there is a court order in place for testing.
