Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Pay child support for runaway??

My 16 yr. old stepdaughter ranaway from home 2x while living with her father. she said she would run again if we didn't let her get emancipated. She dropped out of school and has moved from her grandmothers house to a friends house and is now back with her mother. They don't make her work or go to school. She wants us to send her child support. Do we have to support her if she has no intentions of staying at her mothers and refuses to work or go to school? Her parents were divorced when she was 2 and she lived with her mom. Her father paid court ordered child support until she came to live with us (7 yrs old). We never asked her mom to pay child support for those years. Now that shes been at her moms for a few months the mom wants her dad to pay back child support. What can we do?

Re: Pay child support for runaway??

child support is ordered. enforced and modified by court order. You will have to prove that you had possession to get credit.
