Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I pay childsupport for my 2 children and my son turned 18 last Oct and was to graduate this coming May. He tested out and graduated early last week. He is now out of High School and he has moved out of his Mothers home and is living on his own now. Do I just start paying the childsupport for my 1 remaining child in the amount my devorce degree says to pay, or do I need to call the state or do I have to send something in with my payment? Thanks Toby

Call the Child Disbursement Unit and let them know that the oldest child has graduated from high school, moved away from home, and that child support is no longer payable as to him. If you are writing checks to pay for your child support, I would start paying the stepped down amount. If they are withholding, you will have to work with the OAG to accelerate the step down.
