I am paying arrear child support for a son that is 24 and married, I was also incarcerated for 2 years which accumilated interest. would I be a canidate for forgiveness or lower payments

There's basically no such thing as "forgiveness."
There have been cases where Mom and Dad went to Court, got a judgment for the back child support, and then Mom "reported" to the Court that Dad had paid it.
You CAN go to court and ask the Judge to order lower arrearage payments.
