Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Hello, i've been paying child support on the regular for 2 years now. my child lives in Texas and i live in Chicago. I got a new jobe two years ago and i was behind about $5000. i began an automatic payment from my check in 2008. i recently did a credit report and discovered i now owe them $18,000. I just got off phone with them and they said i still have to pay medical even if she been on my plan, then he filnally looked att my case and came back and said, " wow, sir i'm going to have to get a new case worker on your case and i will call you back." It's clear that they've been overcharging me, but what do you suggest i do?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HIRE AN ATTORNEY!
You don't state what county the case is assigned to so I can't give you any suggestions.
If you are in Harris County or a county close to Harris County, email me directly at [email protected]
As you are now learning, you desperately need legal representation!
Talking to someone on the phone does NOT protect your rights! You are probably NOT dealing with an attorney! You are probably dealing with a "clerk" that has no power to truly assist you! Quit wasting your time and effort! You are now $18,000 in arrears & have now ruined your credit!
WARNING!!! If you have a bank account -- your account will be "hit" by the TX A G computer at any time without any notice & your checks will bounce!
