Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I have pd child support for my 2 children since their mother and I divorced. My youngest, who has ADD and the mental capacity of a 15 year old, just graduated from HS. He will need to get vocational training. I have offered to help with payment for any additional training as well as pay for his health insurance, but cease any other regular child support. His mother and step father are threatening me with legal steps, citing a law that would require me to pay child support until he is 20 or 25, and to also "get" a court to up retroactively child support I have been paying all these years....what are my options and what is the case law on cases like this?

Let them take their "legal steps."
They CANNOT raise child support retroactively; they're lying to you.
