Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Percentage rate held out of payroll for child support

What is the percentage rate of payroll for child support on one child? How is it figured? My ex-wife is wanting $100 a week for one child. I make $506 a week with no overtime, out of that comes income taxes and SS taxes, Health & Dental Insurance. I carry ins urance on this child thru my company. I have a family to also care for. Your immediate response would be appreciated.

Re: Percentage rate held out of payroll for child support

One child is 20% of your pay after taxes for 1 person. You receive a credit for the amount of the health insurance and dental insurance you provide for the child.
