if a person was ordered to give up property in divorce court but doesn't do it, then what?

Sue him for contempt. If a party is ordered to give up specific property (property already in existence), that part of the order is enforceable by contempt.

That part of a decree that orders someone to pay an ordinary debt is NOT enforceable by contempt.
