Personal Reposession

My husband was arrested 3 weeks ago for assult on me and right before his court date he was arrested again for assulting me with a gun. Now I know whats gonna happen to him(I hope), my question is. His crazy family came over and tried to take items out of my house and take the truck weve been using for years. The cops wouldnt let them, but the truck was recently put into his Moms name(cause she paid it off for us on her credit card) but they said she can go file for reposession on it and take it. Can she do that right now??? its my only means of transportation right now and I have children. Also if she can do that, how long does it take for that to go through?

Why don't you file a TRO to prevent this from happening. If you don't have a lawyer, get one if you want to protect yourself and your kids.
