Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

There has been physical and verbal abuse towards my 7 year old daughter by her mother. CPS has visited the custodial parent which is the mother concerning the matter. My 7 year old daughter wants to live with me(father) but her mother the custodial parent refuses to let her. How can I help my daughter she is being terrorized, traumatized and threatend by her mother saying that if she says anything to anyone about what is going on at home her daddy will go to jail. Im in financial straights! What can be done and what should I do???

"Financial straits" is going to be a problem.

You need to hire a good lawyer (who will want at least $5000 up front, if he knows what he's doing), and you'll also want to get a good child psychologist to testify for you. Plan on spending another $3000 on the psychologist. His main purpose is to "bring the child's testimony into the courtroom."
