Re: how do I pick a jury?

I suggest you go to a law library and read up on jury selection in a family law case.

There is also a lot of information available on the internet.

I'm sure that you aware that you are going to be held to the same standard as an attorney. And, the judge cannot help you by giving you legal advice.

I would strongly urge you to hire an attorney.

If the case is in Harris County, some judges hold a hearing BEFORE the trial starts to work out the details -- such as labeling all Exhibits.

In reality, very few cases go to a jury trial. Before you can go to trial, you are required to attend mediation.

I also assume that since it's a custody caes that an attorney has ben appointed to represent the interests of the child(ren).

In summary, most people that represent themselves in a jury trial are doing a huge disservice to themselves. It is NOTHING like t.v. (no commericals, no script writers, etc.)
