Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Police were called out for family violence.(Alcohol was involved) A TV and a mini blind were slightly damaged. No arrests,no statements were written,no pictures or evidence,only police reports were filed.The police officer told my (common law) husband that if he ever returned to the home that he would find a reason to issue a warrant for his arrest and that it would be in his best interest to never return to Rockport. What is your advice?
