Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Before I post my question I need to put a little background info first. Ok well, I was with my boyfriend for a couple of years before he got put in jail. I married him while he was in jail but we never consumated the marriage afterwards. He has been in jail ever since and now I cannot locate him. He was deported back to mexico. So my question now is " How do I go about getting a divorce from him since I can't locate him?"

PLEASE HELP

You file for divorce, and serve him by publication. He can't prevent you from divorcing him just by vanishing.

You'll need a lawyer to help you with this.

I agree with Mark above. You will definately need an attorney to help you. I'm in your zip code.

email me at [email protected] and be sure to let me know that you found me on lawguru.com

I take payment plans. It will take awhile to get the work done but I can get it done.

Filing fee is approx. $250, publication fees will run approx. $100 then you will have to pay for an attorney to attempt to locate him that is appointed by the Judge (that price varies but usually starts at $500-up). You don't need it all at once. You need the filing fee and publication fee to filestart plus beginning attorney fees of approx. $250.
