power of attorney care for children

my x wife has I believe full custody of our daughter the paperwork was finalized on guam, where my daughter is currently located, know my x mother in law has since asked me to send her a power of attorney so if needed she can make decisions concering my daughter in my absence... I am currently located stateside texas and trying to make a connection since I'm being reminded constantly since my divorce... thanks

If you have been divorced, the decree should allocate your rights and duties along with your ex wife's rights and duties.

The strange thing here is your ex wife's mother is asking for a power of attorney from you.

I am not familiar with the law of Guam. Generally, courts, not individuals transfer decisionmaking authority regarding children.
