Ok My Husband left for basic training this past week and i moved to Texas with our 1 year old. I got told that his sister has Power Of Attorney over our 1 year old and unborn child. I need to know if he can do that without me there

Re: Power Of Attorney

A power of attorney has little, if any, authority in this type of situation. You are not a resident for divorce purposes, but you can file a Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationship. He can postpone proceedings if he is active duty. At least it will establish a court with jurisdiction. Get a lawyer.
