Re: Power of attorney

A Power of Attorney can be formally revoked by the person who made it. The Revocation then needs to be recorded in the property records of each county where the person owns property and a copy should be given to institutions such as banks where the power of attorney could have been used.

If the person who made the Power of Attorney is no longer competent, it will take a Court appointed Guardian to revoke the POA.
