Prefrential Court date

I have recently filed for a contested divorce and I have a preffrential court date hearing scheduled early next month.What does the judge take into consideration when allowing prefrential trail dates?How much earlier ( i know not to expect miracles here in Houston) does it usually give you for the trial.

Well it's not your fault that this question was transferred to me; whereas what you should do is refer to a lawyer from your own jurisdiction! What I mean by that is a Divorce Trial Lawyer from Texas who should be perfectly capable of telling you what applies in divorce cases in Houston courts.
