Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Pre-Separation rights

My husband has lived at another address with another woman for the past 14 months. I have been taking care of the house note and so forth. Now we're talking about a possible divorce and he's wanting to move back in aginst my will. He does have possessions there.

What recourse do I have to keep this from happening?

Can I change the locks?

Re: Pre-Separation rights

You need to get a lawyer to get you a Temporary Restrainig Order. The house is as much yours as it is his; so, you can change the locks. However, since the house is as much his as it is yours, he could break the door and fix it. But, you need to get your divorce started so these issues can be resolved in court.
