Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I am the Primary possessory conservator of my 3 year old son. I plan to move from Texas to Florida with my son in order to finish school, but I know my son's father, whom I was never married to, will fight me on it. What can I do to make the transition to Florida easier without having to return to Texas for court?

Does the court order (the paternity/custody order) restrict the children's home to a specific geographical area? If it does, you will need to go to Court (in Texas) to modify it.
Usually, a provision for geographic restriction provides that Dad can agree to the move by filing a signed agreement with the Court.
