Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Problems in love lane

I have been in a common law relationship for almost 15 yrs. during that time we bought a home together. One of my questions are who stays in the home we have 2 daughters in between us and he raise my other daughter since a month old. Do we have to file a divorse? He gives me 100.00 p/wk for both of our girls and he is paying for the water, electric bill, & cable which I wanted him to turn them off so I can put it under my name but he said no what should I do? I know that he is doing this to cover him up incase if I take him to court for child support. which I'm not cause I'm working and trying to go back to school. Cuase he was my main sourse of income. I dont make much like he does. I dont want to hurt each other anymore then what we have already. I also wish to not hur our children. I just need to know what are my legal rights and what do I need to do.
