Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Process after a Acknowledgement of Paternity is singed

Reading the language on the Acknowledgement of Paternity it stats that after signing the birth certificate if a singer changes their mind i.e. a DNA reflects that I am not the father I can file a suit within 60 changes of signing for the change and that after 60 days in requires a lawsuit. My question is what is the difference? Does either case require a full blown lawsuit?

My secretary needs me so I'm answering your question very quickly. I hope it makes sense.

If you want to revoke an Ack. of Paternity, run -- don't walk -- and immediately send a certified letter to state that you revoke this acknowledgemet. I'd send certified copies to everyone that you can think of -- State of Texas, place you signed it, the mother, etc.

After 60 days, you are presumed to be the father. DNA tests WILL NOT revoke this acknowledgement.

You need to ACT FAST!
