Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was in the process of divorcing my husband when he passed away. I wasn't living with my husband when he passed and my step-son took care of the cremation arrangements. My step-son gave the incorrect information to the funeral home and told them his father and I were divorced. When I received my copy of the death certificate it said the deceased was divorced. If I have the death certificate corrected, what will I be responsible for? Can his creditors sue me for his debt?

You are not personally liable for your husband's debts.

It is possible that his creditors could make claims against the property in his estate.
