property rights

I am 60 years old. I was adopted as a young child by my stepfather. my biological father passed away five years ago. do I have any rights to any of my biological father's estate?

I just want to reiterate Mr. Grissom's response, as in fact represented a woman once in a very similar circumstance. Get a copy of the court's file -- the termination and adoption orders will answer your question.

You would have to study the adoption order. When I do adoptions, I never terminate the inheritance rights because the bio dad might win the lottery and buy Wonderland.
