propertys between commonlaw marrage

it has been almost 7 years that we r seperated can i still fight for the house and trucks but they r not in my7 name this was a very violent marrge and the kids to we have 4 kids together

I agree with Ms. Brochstein. If there have been NO court proceedings however, and you are both listed on the property, you could well have a civil claim to the property. Talk to a lawyer in your area, and see if you have recourse.

If you were only common law married, you lost the right to sue for divorce 2 years AFTER you separated.

It is presumed that you would have filed for divorce within 2 years if you were married.

You can still sue for custody and child support of the 4 children.
