Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Protective Order

My husband was just served papers. His first wife wants a protective order issued against him, saying they are in imminent danger. My husband has not even been in the same town as them since April. Phone contact stopped approx. 2 months ago. Is this worth fighting? We want nothing to do with any of them. Then again, they want us to pay their lawyers fees for what we feel like is most certainly a frivolous lawsuit. What should we do? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Re: Protective Order

If you ignore the notice, then she will be granted the protective order and he will be ordered to pay her attorney's fees.

I would urge you to retain the services of an attorney to represent you in court.

Good luck!
