Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Protective Order/Restraining Order

I had an EPO back in Nov 05 from my son who is on meth. When he got out of jail I made the mistake of letting him back in believing he would really do better. He is worse & my EPO has expired. He wont leave my resd. What is the most economical & effective way for me to get a protective/restraining order & have him removed. He is destructive/mentally ill but will not work or get help. I have been to the subcourthouse. They cant evict him because I am not property owner. He is not on the lease. I am facing moving out on my lease to get away from him. There is damage I need to repair to apt.

Re: Protective Order/Restraining Order

Is your son 18 years or older?

If he has been violent, go to the local DA, and ask for a protective order.

If he is on bond, go to his bondsman.

If he is on probation, go to his probation officer.

If all that fails, get an attorney to file for a restraining order.
