Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Just got put on child support

I was just put on Child Support on Dec. 1st. I was ordered to pay $465.00 a month based on a $1600 a month income, when I only make about $1450 a month and I support my step-son, and fiance who is a stay at home mom. $85.00 of this is Insurance, and $50.00 is for back child support, my daughter is 4 months old. Can I request that this order be changed so that I can put the child on my insurance and have my child support payment amount be changed to reflect what I actually make instead of what they determined. If they don't let me change it because of the 3yr rule for review, is there anything I can do ???????

Re: Just got put on child support

Texas A G will only look at your case every 3 years but if you retain a private attorney you can revise after one year.

Your supporting your fiance and step-son will not reduce your child support.

If you are supporting other biological children, then your child support will be reduced for this child.

If you have reached a final agreement with the Texas A G, you cannot revise anything for a year.
