My attorney has to file a quadro with

my ex spouse retirement account to

withdraw monies as agreed upon

how long does this take

The lawyer has to get the requirements from the Plan Administrator, prepare the order, and submit it to the Plan Administrator for approval. Once the approval is received, then the lawyer submits to all parties for signature. If everyone does not sign off on it, then he has to set it for a Motion to Enter hearing. If everyone does, then he submits to the court for signature and entry. The order is then forwarded to the Plan Administrator for implementation.

Depending upon how cooperative all the parties are, I have had a QDRO be completed in as short as 3 weeks, and one that took over a year.
