Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Question about Child Support and Custody

My question is when does someone have to start legally start paying child support? i have been seperated for almost 3 months and my spouse has not made any attempt to help support our child. Also, do I have to let him see her? I have been planning on not letting him see her because of his recent actions. Is this legal?

Re: Question about Child Support and Custody

If his recent actions pose a danger to the child that is one thing. Otherwise, the child should be able to see her father. Without court orders, if he takes the child, he might not bring her back. Filing a suit affecting the parent child relationship is the method to establish child support, custody and visitation. Temporary orders may be made pending a final decision. A divorce will carry with it a suit affecting the parent child relationship.
