Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Your Question:edit text
My sons biological father abandoned him 7. Years ago, he is now 8. My son has his mothers last name only, not the biological fathers last name or mine. We are married. The man never took care of him and there is no relationship between them. He does not know his biological father. He calls me dad and he is like my son. Now the man wants to see his son. What r the chances of filling a lawsuit to terminate his parental rights and win? The guy never paid money for food, insurance or anything at all. He just showed up out of nowhere.

Go ahead and file a lawsuit for involuntary termination of parental rights. You have grounds under section 161.001 of the Texas Family Code.
